Predators spend more time sleeping than their prey, which attempt to increase their chances of survival by staying vigilant for a longer amount of time. How to Breathe Like a Predator observes bodies that are perpetually on the watch. Situating muscle tension, shallow breathing and stress within oppressive power structures such as patriarchy, the work questions what it means for a vulnerable body to relax.
